
Mumbai is expected to witness heavy rainfall over the next 48 hours, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Citizens have been advised to stay alert as waterlogging and traffic disruptions are likely in several parts of the city.
Low-lying areas such as Kurla, Sion, and Andheri are expected to be the most affected. The BMC has already deployed emergency teams to handle any situation and ensure smooth drainage operations.
Commuters are advised to avoid unnecessary travel and keep track of weather updates. Schools and colleges may also remain closed depending on the severity of the situation.
Authorities have urged residents to follow safety guidelines and report any emergencies immediately.
